New Page – Mac OS X User Guides

I created a page dedicated to Mac OS X user guides (in PDF format), ranging from Mac OS X 10.0 Public Beta through Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. More for my own purposes for a future project I’m working on, but I made it public for anyone that would like to download a copy for themselves.

I do not have anything for Mac OS X 10.7 Lion through the most current macOS, so if you have a copy to send my way, let me know and I’ll add it to the page and credit you appropriately.

It’s fun to look at how Apple was dedicated in teaching users new and old alike in the early days of Mac OS X compared to now, when it’s assumed everyone should know how to use a computer and the included operating system.

20 Years of Aqua

At Macworld 2000, Steve Jobs unveiled the user interface for Mac OS X. It was called Aqua.

Has it really been that long since Steve Jobs demoed Aqua to the world? Seriously, I was just 19 when this was announced and a freshman in college. I still remember the keynote to this day and I could not wait to try out the new interface; hell, my computer was supposed to support it so I was definitely excited.

Damn, time flies by too fast. Now, get the hell off my lawn.
